Educational Partnership Program
The Knoebel family has long recognized the major impact our local schools have on the vitality of our community. It is because of this understanding, and the recognition of the other countless contributions of our schools, that we developed a deep commitment to education.
In accordance with the factors mentioned above, we have established the “Knoebels Educational Partnership” program. This program allows us to partner with local schools in encouraging the strides students are making in their educational journey, as well as assist schools with certain programming.
Lesson PlansLesson Plans
Make your lesson plans jump off the page by introducing your students to a 50-acre outdoor classroom. We’ve created comprehensive lesson plan ideas based off the PA state standards for education to reduce the workload and increase the fun. History, geometry, physics and art are just a few of the subjects your students can explore at Knoebels. Then, end the day with a Knoebels-catered school picnic in one of our pavilions!
Tours & MuseumsTours & Museums
Knoebels is committed to cultivating our youth, and we have many attractions throughout the park that are educationally based, fun and FREE! We offer guided and self-guided tours of these wonderful attractions. Learn about the rich coal mining heritage of Pennsylvania with a tour of our Anthracite Mine Museum, or take lessons from our staff engineers about the nuts and bolts behind your favorite rides.
