Knoebels wins international award for 2016 radio commercial!

A group Knoebels Amusement Resort team members traveled to Orlando, Florida last week for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions’ (IAAPA) annual expo. While there, the team had the opportunity to attend over 100 educational seminars, walk over 9 miles of trade show floor, and network with over 35,000 people from around the world. In addition to bringing home industry knowledge and best practices, the team was also thrilled to bring home a 2016 Brass Ring Award for “Best Radio or Streaming Audio Commercial.”

According to IAAPA, the Brass Ring Awards are presented to amusement parks, water parks, zoos, aquariums, museums, family entertainment centers, and suppliers from around the world to honor excellence in seven categories. Knoebels secured the award in the “Excellence in Marketing” category.

According to Knoebels’ marketing director, Mary Helwig, the 2016 commercial featured Knoebels’ 90th anniversary, as well as the park as a place that has been host to generations of family fun.

“Though Knoebels has grown throughout our 90 years of operation, we still remain a place that creates happiness and family memories,” said Helwig. “It really does take you back to the days of good, old-fashioned fun.”
