September & October Fun at Knoebels!


We hope you join us for some fall fun! Check out our event dates and times and a description of each:

September Weekends: Knoebels will be open the weekends of September 6 (noon-8:00 p.m.) and 7 (noon-? – closing dictated by weather and crowd), 13 (noon-8:00 p.m.) and 14 (noon-? – closing dictated by weather and crowd), and 20 (noon-8:00 p.m.) and 21 (11:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m.). On September 20, we're offering a “buy one today, get one in May” deal, where you can purchase a ride-all-day pass for that day and receive a free pass to use any day ride-all-day passes are offered in May 2015. Ride-all-day passes are available weekends of operation in September. The park is closed the weekend of September 27 and 28.

Covered Bridge Festival: October 2-5, Thursday-Saturday 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Sunday 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. – The 33rd Annual Covered Bridge Festival, sponsored by the Columbia-Montour Visitors Bureau, features 350 craft vendors, over 35 food vendors, and rides for the family to enjoy. Ride-all-day passes for select rides will be offered on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5:00 p.m. for $25 per person. Knoebel Lumber 5K: Saturday, October 4, registration held 7:30-8:45 a.m., race begins at 9:30 a.m. All proceeds from the Knoebel Lumber 5K benefit Ralpho Township Public Library. The fee for the event is $12.00 pre-race, and $15.00 on the day of the race. All pre-entry forms must be mailed in no later than ten days before the race date. The race begins at Pavilion L and is a moderately hilly 5K of mixed gravel and asphalt. A t-shirt is provided to the first 200 registrants, and prizes are awarded to top finishers. Phoenix Phall Phunfest: Saturday, October 4 – Registration begins at noon – During the day, participants can enjoy the Souvenir Swap Meet and Covered Bridge Festival. Evening activities begin at 6:00 p.m. and consist of food, rides, games, a costume parade (with prizes), and a bonfire.For $25 per person or $12 per person under 48”, Phunfest registration includes select rides, two slices of Cesari’s Pizza, a soft drink and a game ticket. A Phunfest Combo is available for $42 per person or $29 per person under 48” and includes all Phunfest activities as HalloFunLogowell as either the Saturday or Sunday Covered Bridge ride pass. Hallo-Fun: October 10-12, 17-19, 24-26 – Fridays 6:00-10:00 p.m., Saturdays 2:00-10:00 p.m., Sundays noon-5:00 p.m. – Knoebels Amusement Resort transforms into a spooktacularly great time for the entire family. Visitors can experience tasty treats, thrilling games, freaktastic attractions and of course a selection of Knoebels’ hallo-riffic rides. Guests can purchase Saturday ride-all-day passes for $34 per person or $22 per person under 48”. Evening or Sunday ride passes can be purchased for $25 per person or $17 per person under 48”. Knoebels announces 2014 scholarship recipients

2014 Knoebels Scholarship Recipients
Knoebels Amusement Resort is pleased to announce its 2014 scholarship recipients. Since the program's inception in 1997, approximately $83,000 has been awarded to 166 student employees.

Scholarships were awarded based on the students' written applications and a work performance evaluation completed by the applicants' department managers. This year's scholarship judging committee was comprised of two community leaders not employed by Knoebels.

This year's recipients include:

Daniel Latovich, son of Joseph and Debra Latovich, Coal Township, 2008 graduate of Shamokin Area High School, attending Bloomsburg University, majoring in Computer Science

Lindsey Landis, daughter of Dan and Beth Landis, Elysburg, 2012 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, attending Lebanon Valley College, majoring in Physical Therapy

Kayla Bobber, daughter of Dennis and Theresa Bobber, Elysburg, 2012 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, attending Indiana University of Pennsylvania, majoring in Interior Design

Courtney Cecco, daughter of Jim and Janet Cecco, Elysburg, 2012 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, attending Misericordia University, majoring in Speech Language Pathology

Sean Ciborowski, son of Robert and Eileen Ciborowski, Coal Township, 2009 graduate of Shamokin Area High School, attending Misericordia University, majoring in Physical Therapy

Teanna Shutt, daughter of Lori Shutt, Elysburg, 2014 graduate of Southern Columbia Area High School, attending Lebanon Valley College, majoring in Physical Therapy
